No matter where you live there are wonderful subjects to photograph and use in your website design.
And if you think you don’t have a camera good enough to take web quality photographs for your site, look no farther than your mobile phone.
My wife and I hike every Sunday morning in a place about 20 minutes from our home in Northern California. Admittedly, we live in a beautiful area but I guarantee you, no matter where you live there are world-class photography possibilities all over the place. Once you start seeing through the eye of a photographer, you’ll see them everywhere.
This past Sunday I was not on a mission to take pictures. I just happened to have my phone in my pocket and as we walked along our trail the ocean was sort of angry. There was a rough surf alert (which doesn’t seem to dissuade surfers) so I whipped out my iPhone and clicked off a couple of pictures. When I got home I looked them over and found one I particularly liked. I’m not sure how I am going to use it but I uploaded it to my Media library on WordPress and here it is.

Half Moon Bay, California
It’s not “world class” but I think it is a cool picture. I’ll use it in some kind of post somewhere along the line.
My point? Train your eyes to see potential pictures. Take a lot of them. Regularly upload the ones you like to your media library and you’ll find yourself using them in all variety of ways. This will create one more asset to have at your disposal as you build your business.
