Once you have a little traction in your business you will want to write about things your followers are interested in.
Most of us start growing our list by writing or creating “magnets” of information that our audience may be interested in. As time goies on and that audience grows you may want to quit guessing at what they want to hear from you and simply ask them.
I use a free tool called POWr Surveys. It is a simple plug-in to your WordPress website. I like it a lot. You can create free form surveys, where you ask questions that require the survey taker to come up with the answer in his own words or you can make it multiple choice.
You will most likely get a higher a response rate with multiple choice as the taker doesn’t have to give it as much thought. That doesn’t make it any less valid.
The results will come to you via email and you’ll have to do your own compilation with the free version but it is a pretty sweet tool for someone on a tight budget.
What if you do not have a list yet? You can do a Facebook post on your business page and put a link on it to your survey. Then create a quick ad for $2-$3 targeting the audience you want to attract. It works like a charm!
